well you can find LST's for just over $500 if you do a little looking and calling.I paid $505 plus tax for my second LST as an example .That's about $125 more than the tnx.For that extra $125 you get a far better radio.Customer support that's unmatched in the industry,a .26 engine instead of the tnx's .18 ,monster sized aluminum shocks and ready parts availability. Change all 8 shocks on the TNX to something suitable and upgrade to a comparable radio and you're no doubt near or over the LST's base price.
Plus by the looks of the suspension arms and how short they are I doubt seriously it'd be able to handle the rough as well as the LST.All my opinion.
As far as your no winners circle comment.Didn't the LST win some sort of gas truck nationals this last year...run stock with no mods and still won after losing the exhaust pipe 3/4 of the way through the race
