Ideally yes. Basically every click of throttle should make a difference to the engine. This is both good linkage + might need to use a curve. A bit is in the flying aswell and how it feels but basically if you set it up on a tacho that would be more than good enough then go from there if you feel it needs fine tuning.

People tend to forget their throttle function and spend all the other time setting up their other functions. Throttle need a bit of attention aswell.
