whatever your new radio is if I heard you say 3D flying you need to get at least a 6 channel with dual rates and more importantly exponential rates on at least 3 functions..

I bought a 6EXA futaba and enjoy it very much..I am sorry I didnt go to the 7C..I also own a 9C and at first it intimidated me.but so didnt pc's and now I cant imagine not having it..incidentally if you get a JR or a futaba you can swap out servos etc.meaning you can buy just the tx if you have rx and servos laying around..
