Yes, you should send it in to have it checked. It's not worth risking your new plane. I am not sure if you can change from channel 23 to 32. Futaba receivers are either low or high band and I don't recall where the cut-off is. It's something like 1 to 30 is low band and 31 to 60 is high band.
