I believe your correct with 2 1/8" from the fuselage top(from the flat part). Two out of two coming up with the same measurement makes me fill better. My FPE 6.8 is 7" long, so it barely bolts on the firewall without any mod's(the 6.8 is FPE's new twin). Thanks, Ron
