I suspect the Swallow EX which followed the original Swallow 90 fiasco was the "will it be a sales success?" testbed. I think it even preceded the Lark and Magpie testing across the market for sports pattern product appeal.

I've dealt with RCS a couple of times. Never seen 'em up close 'n personal and don't think I'd wanna' after your comment. Not my favourite at all as they're a complete PITA to deal with if you're any sort of an "attention to detail please!" person. Leave stuff out of mail orders and substitute product despatching without asking or advising. But they are the cheapest in town when they can supply. Without exception, the LHS hate their guts with a vengence!
