OK thanks guys. Looks like I'm right. Yeah, Ralph you're right, but just compare with the car companies and the decisions they make to save a buck. They would rather pay a huge suit and not spend a few cents to correct a problem.

I noticed that the side of the gasket next to the hole is discolored in the shape of the milled slot on the link. I really doesn't seem to go anywhere?? What's actually going on with the hole and slot?
