Default easy link orientation on G26

Check the photo and tell me if the part is oriented correctly. The carb will be mounted with arm on the bottom. The two parts in the lower left are both cracked. One is new just received from Horizon and it broke when I tightened it up. The other cracked when I crashed. I can't remember exactly how it's supposed to be oriented, or, if it really matters. Thanks Ralph, if you hadn't sent me that one I'd be back to square one.

The block is on the cylinder right...The carb must be bolted onto the block with the cast cover to the rear of the engine to allow the pulse hole to line up [8D]
If the powers at Horizon would make the blocks from 3/8 G10 there would be no problem..
There's less that $1.00 worth of G10 in a carb block that size..Think they can afford it ?

Here ya go suitcase. This is how Ralph's block is installed. I also ground off the bosses thay were there to mount the coil. After Ralph's ignition installation I don't need them anymore. It gives more room for the bottom mounted arm.

OK thanks guys. Looks like I'm right. Yeah, Ralph you're right, but just compare with the car companies and the decisions they make to save a buck. They would rather pay a huge suit and not spend a few cents to correct a problem.

I noticed that the side of the gasket next to the hole is discolored in the shape of the milled slot on the link. I really doesn't seem to go anywhere?? What's actually going on with the hole and slot?

the hole a slot is to route the pulse to the hole in the carb..Discoloration is a slight leak of the pulse..Resurface the face of the block with a piece of sandpaper on a flat surface...
