RE: competitive rustler
Not one of you have provided any info for bettering the Rustler.
Here it goes...
*Option caster blocks-your Rustler will turn much better(not near as much push).
*Pro ball diff-your Rustler will hook up out of corners & down the straights MUCH better(higher maintenance).
These first two upgrades will help the most(along with tires).
*Mip cvd's-stock plastic yokes tear out. The stock sliders also will seize up and not slide.
*Lunsford turnbuckles-so you have something to grab onto when adjusting.
*Stronger steering servo-quicker steering and more durable.
*Rechargeable hump pack-to power your new servo.
*Bowties in the rear.
*Losi ribs in the front. I suggest medium for longer life(I use this tire mix on my Rustler & GT).
EDIT: Don't forget the Big Bores!
If you have the 2.5 you'll never have to worry about power.
If you have the pro .15, add a OS 10E carb w/MS filter and AE tuned pipe(my pro .15 rips).
All said the Rustler just isn't as precise as the GT(never drove a Losi).
Its a wild slide machine when compared to my GT.
In B gas you may have a chance, probably not in A gas.
My pro .15 Rustler WHOOPS on Savages!!! [:-]
