woah...the old "you love your planes more than me" routine....that's a tough one. You're right about getting her a good Christmas present: I would recommend the new 14 channel Futaba (installing the servos without waking her up is a challenge, but there are plenty of wise fellas on here that can guide you through the finer points). Be careful not to run her on too lean a mixture and never stand in front of her while she's running.
