You should be fine if you go to a 6V pack, the 425's are pretty tough. The only problem might be the rudder blows back some at higher speeds. I'd fly it as is for now but get a 5 cell 720mah pack when you get a chance. The 720mah packs weigh only 2.5oz but they are Nimh packs so use the correct charger.
