Ended up using a 4.8v 1400mAh nicad pack that I had laying around. Mounted it right behind the forward former in the radio compartment. Had to add 1/4 oz of lead to the bottom of the fuse midway between the TE of the wing and the tail to get proper balance. Man, its a flyin sucker! High rates will need exponential and I am not ready for that yet. Just flew it around getting the feel and played with a few high altitude torque rolls and knife edges.
Wow! First of this type of plane for me and I AM HOOKED. Servos seemed up to the task. Only glitch I had was the antenna getting caught between the top of the stab and the counter balance of the rudder. Gotta do something about that!
