Default RE: Genesis steering capabilities (reduce turning diameter)

aliencandy...

I have the same problem... if i turn to the right i get full turn but if i turn the left it does not turn fully. I also get the feeling that the steering stops before it should on the transmitter. I have moved the steering arm out the the far end of the servo arm too which did improve it slightly but as you pointed out it puts more force on the servo.

the steering wheel on the new radio was getting bound up on the transmitter body. i figured that i could put a washer to give a bit more space. when i took off the wheel i saw the plastic stops that limit the steering wheel from turning all the way around. i took a knife to these. removed about two milli from each side, put in a spacer mounted the wheel and tried it again. now i had wayyyyy better steering. i did this one more time, removing a bit more material. perfect. infact now i had to use a shorter servo arm! this is a good thing because it reduces the strain in the steering servo.

I am going to have a look at this tonight and get back to you on this.
Thanks for the help......................
