Default a first profile?

Allright, i admit it.
i'm looking more and more at those planes and after seeing one at the field
performing so well, i've made my mind up. third plane will be a profile for sure.
My second plane was an ultrastick60/saito100 on which i had 5 gallons sticktime on it and
felt comfortable with it doing pattern style flying, not much 3d though.
a tree ate it and the saito100 is in need of a new plane.
While reading and searching the profiles here, i get a bit of confused.
there are plenty of them, and all seem to have more of this but less of that
ability.
so what am i looking for to choose one carefully?
I'm currently building a contender as my first kit and it's going well but slow.
I would prefer an arf profile but would build one if not available as arf.
I don't like the morris knife.
I like the balsanova, sudokoi and the topcap.
I love the new omp bipe and the katana.
but that's just for looks, i would like to match the plane to my saito100 as good as possible.
I guess i just need a good input here on what to look for.
thanks, pat
