Default RE: 61 in the stick

I had heard the same thing abou the wing burning on the dowels. I replaced the ARF dowels with solid oak ones and then added a second layer of strong light ply in front of the bulkhead on the side facing the firewall. Then I redrilled the holes for the dowels through the second layer. I also left the dowels a little longer than what the instruction manual said. I also took a 1/4" square piece of basswood and expoxied it along the back and the sides of the area where the back of the wing screws into the fuse. I have seen a thread here where that panel came out during a pretty hard loop causing the wing to separate from the fuse. I also used some fiberglass cloth and epoxy over the landing gear block on the inside of the fuse. Maybe none of this was needed, but I had the time and the chance to make sure it all held together before I flew it, so I made the mods.
