The linkage is not going straight across (parallel with the skids), instead it's angled "up" at about 10-15 degrees... If it was running straight across, then the servo arm would be at a perfect 90 degree angle to the servo.... But since it's angled up, the connection point will be forward a bit.... Basically you want the linkage and servo arm to be at 90 degree angles to EACH OTHER... Don't pay attention to where the servo is..... Get it?
