yeah, exactly.... The drawing has it way over exagerated, but for example the collective servo... The linkage is not going straight across (parallel with the skids), instead it's angled "up" at about 10-15 degrees... If it was running straight across, then the servo arm would be at a perfect 90 degree angle to the servo.... But since it's angled up, the connection point will be forward a bit.... Basically you want the linkage and servo arm to be at 90 degree angles to EACH OTHER... Don't pay attention to where the servo is..... Get it?
