I dont know why everyone makes it sound like its so difficult. At the start i bought a simple Tamiya TT-01. It was jst to mess round with my friends. We decided to mak some drift tires with abs but we couldnt find some materials. So we just slaped on some eletrical tape

That works perfectly fine. It gives you enough slip that you can drift but it may help to use maybe a 21turn instead of slower ones like a 27T. I found it rather slow using my 27T though it still works. After that i found some abs at a house that was getting remodeled we had it sanded and poped them on no glue or anything like that was needed. I switched back the the 27T but im looking for a motors with lower turns. Also i find no need in stiffer suspention or however you spell it. Over all i think all you need is a for wheel drive car. And slap on some eletrical tape.
Id like to talk bout some of my eariler ideas of drifting and how bad they sucked lol [:'(]
Duck Tape- Tire will end up dead and yo get grip at least what i remeber also when you reamove the tape all the sticky stuff stays
packaging tape- This didnt do much and it was hard to put it on neatly
Cardboard-No we did not make square tires we took it from the fishing rod tubes this takes forever to cut well with little saws seeing we have no axcess to power tools (im a little kid lol but still listen ive been drifting for a lil while)
Soda Cans- This was pretty funny because it was funny and it sounded quite cool i must say.
Plastic Caps-We took these from glass cleaner bottles i think and they were probably the best material well i enjoyed it alot. The only problem is it is very easy to break.
Water Bottles- This probably would have worked its just we rushed and cup them to short and they slipped off.
