Default Drfting Aint That Hard

I dont know why everyone makes it sound like its so difficult. At the start i bought a simple Tamiya TT-01. It was jst to mess round with my friends. We decided to mak some drift tires with abs but we couldnt find some materials. So we just slaped on some eletrical tape That works perfectly fine. It gives you enough slip that you can drift but it may help to use maybe a 21turn instead of slower ones like a 27T. I found it rather slow using my 27T though it still works. After that i found some abs at a house that was getting remodeled we had it sanded and poped them on no glue or anything like that was needed. I switched back the the 27T but im looking for a motors with lower turns. Also i find no need in stiffer suspention or however you spell it. Over all i think all you need is a for wheel drive car. And slap on some eletrical tape.

Id like to talk bout some of my eariler ideas of drifting and how bad they sucked lol [:'(]
Duck Tape- Tire will end up dead and yo get grip at least what i remeber also when you reamove the tape all the sticky stuff stays
packaging tape- This didnt do much and it was hard to put it on neatly
Cardboard-No we did not make square tires we took it from the fishing rod tubes this takes forever to cut well with little saws seeing we have no axcess to power tools (im a little kid lol but still listen ive been drifting for a lil while)
Soda Cans- This was pretty funny because it was funny and it sounded quite cool i must say.
Plastic Caps-We took these from glass cleaner bottles i think and they were probably the best material well i enjoyed it alot. The only problem is it is very easy to break.
Water Bottles- This probably would have worked its just we rushed and cup them to short and they slipped off.

ok u think ur so good it being so easy tell me, how many times did u spin out, how long were the drifts (1mm), a 27t is the BEST drift motor having the most torque, look at the proper drifters and ur drifting there is better and they didnt just slap on tape they set there cars up using the right equipment both electrical and tools where as u went into ur room got some scissors tape and put it on ur tyres and think ur Keiichi Tsuchiya[>:][>:][>:][:@][:@][:@] PS I WOULD LOVE TO SEE UR VIDEOS

there is no need to get on this kids case. in my experiance tape works really well for drifting. the only problem that i found with tape is that it didnt last me a whole batt pack. you dont need power tools or special equipment to set your car up. with regards to your remark that 27 turn motors are the best, well i have news for you. they are not. the cars have such a high power to weight ratio that even a low turn motor can break the tires lose. if i had the money to spend i'd b running a 15 turn motor. the extra speed allows for more correction during a drift. the most important thing about drifting is having a good time.

no 27t motors R THE BEST probably 90% of rcdrift say they r and use them and rc-drift say they are and a high turn motor just means a more uncontroable drift cuz ur going faster

oh sry my internet messed so i need to double post or whatever anyway when i said it wasn't that hard i didn't mean i could just do it im just saying some people say that you need to get all these things like locked diffs and new springs and i just think that if you went out there and got some eletrical tape you could get the feel of it also i havent mad any videos because my editing would suck and my local track is like an hour away one more thing i usually just drift outside at a parking lot and i somtimes hold them for quite a while but not around a certain point

hey everybody everyone is jumping off that bridge over there. that must mean its the best thing to do. i dont care what other people are doing. from my personal experiance drifting with a lower turn motor is better. if you have good throttle control having some extra power in the drift gives you alot more options. if you are making a turn too tight and you want to keep a good drift angle you need that power to get the car to slide out. i think there was some champion on here a while back. he was running a brushless set up that was eqivelent to a 12 turn brushed motor. im not saying im absaloutly right but chances are... in the end it doesnt even matter what you are running as long as you enjoy it.
