Like everyone keeps saying make sure throttle and throttle trim are at the lowest position before plugging in battery. Just got mine for christmas also, what a challenge. I spent several hours on G2 sim before I ever got the copter but I'm still lucky if I can stay in the air for more than 5 seconds. hehe G2 was great for the planes, I soloed after only two flights, but this copter is a whole new ball game. Just got done rebuilding the landing gear and straightening out the main shaft, getting pretty good at taking this thing apart.
Oh well, that is part of the fun!
