I use the Endoplasma set up in my Avistar. You must replace the brushes every 10-12 flights at $6.00 a pair. GP3300 batteries are too heavey for this small Extra. They are great in my Avistar and Funtana.


I Flew the Extra today with the twin spd 400 setup. Not as good as brushless, but it flew. Slower climb slower forward speed. At 3 minutes in, power was lost and the plane glided in for its best landing ever. After action report revealed that the set screw from the right motor's pinion came out thus placing all of the work on the left motor. The offending pinion was replaced test trails continue tomarrow afternoon.
