Default Bacon plane!

wow, i just went through break in today and my plane looked like someone cooked bacon on it! let me first say that the O.S. 46 AX is a sweet motor. it came to life instantly and did not give me one problem all day. i have broken in rc car engines but i never expected a mess like i had today. i started at the manufacturers suggested needle settings but leaned it out bit each tank i ran. considering i could barely see Homer in the cockpit from all the oil i figured it was plenty rich for break-in and it was safe to lean out a bit. actualy i couldnt even get it up to temp with those needle settings the first tank, it stayed at about 100 farenheit and it wanted to 4 stroke. after i leaned it out a bit i got it up over 200 -- about 245-250. anything lower and it wanted to start 4 stroking again

my question is- what is an average operating temp for such a motor with an 11x6 prop? and how much do you guys lean it out for normal operation. in other words, how much oil on the plane is normal?
