Default RE: Batteries/Motor for e-flite to hover

Which E-flite motor did you get? If it was the 370 4100 motor then the D gear ratio is the one that I use because I can swing a 12x6 propeller and it will have plenty of power to hover and go vertical. I've always liked the longer propellers when it comes to hovering but the 11x4.7 and the 10x4.7 work well too. Battery wise if your looking to save weight I like the 3 cell 860. You wont get long flight times but your keep you plane lite. The 3 cell 1320 is also good if your looking for longer flight times and your not worried about weight. Have fun.
