are you sure it's coming from the tail and not something like the teflon shrink tube binding on the t/r pushrod guide and then slipping through with a click? because if it's really coming from the tail i'd tear the whole tail down and rebuild it inspecting each piece as i went along, including the boom and tube drive for cracks.
