Default RE: Cessna and Jett 50?

Dean,

You would be ok with the engine, but the racing muffler will limit your prop choices too much. Its tuned for a fairly high rpm.

You may want to consider using either a lite-jett or turbo-jett muffler.

You will likely want to use no less than a 10" prop on the Cessna, and preferably an 11" diameter (11x4, 11x5, 11x6).

I fly the SJ-46/turbojett combination in my P-51 mustang. Turns an APC 12x4 prop without complaint in this configuration. Does not like to turn the 12x4 with the std jett-stream, and definately would not run that prop with the shorter racing muffler.

If need be, you can use a Bisson pitts style muffler (get a ST40 bolt pattern). The engine will run ok with a 10x6 or 11x5 with that muffler as well.

I hope this is helpful.

Bob
