HDM,
I hope you know that the P-51-B is identical to a P-51-C and the only varient was the introduction of the Packard built Merlin to replace the Allison engine. The plants where Mustangs where built Inglewood Ca.= B and Dallas Tx.= C for a total of 2,828 a/c. Of that 2,100 where built with the Merlin.

All B and C models had the Merlin. The A model had the Allison and then later the H model. Don
