Thank you for your reply. My desire to minimize the cowl chopping that I would need to do to my GP PW was the underlying reason, but I wanted to see if I would also get a slightly quieter engine (always concerned about busting (perceived or actual) the field noise rules) without sacrificing too much in the way of performance.

Besides, now I can say that I have "been advised" to get a pitts muffler when the wife yells about the cost!!!

I have surfed both J&A's web site and Bisson's and haven't been able to find a Pitts application for my BME. I emailed BME (no response). I'm off to my LHS tonight to see if they might have something.
