I have 2 nitro evaders and i can assure you they come with a 75mhz radio. Mine are

Green evader, channel 62 - 75.430 MHz
Yellow evader, channel 70 - 75.590 MHz

Maybe something has changed since you got yours.
And as for durability of the evader, i haven't run into anything yet, but i have cartwheeled at full speed a few times without any damage. Maybe something has changed there too. With an rc10gt you won't be getting a free replacement when you eventually do break something.

I won't say the evader is a better truck than the rc10gt, that would be silly. The rc10gt IS a better truck. But i do believe the evader is a better value for backyard bashing.
