Iron Cross, how was the cowling on yours? Mine, is curled at the back edges, not flat, so there's no flush fit. I'm sending it back and they said, they'd send me a new cowl.
On the landing gear being soft, your right. I'm goint to invest a little money and take my gear down to
www.tntlandinggear.com and have them bend up a new gear, that will be stiffer. Also, I'm going to have them make it look more scale, with straight lines, no angles, and just a touch wider than the fuselage.
Power wise, I bought a Magnum 61 four banger and it will be inverted, as not to hack the cowling up.
I don't normally, buy "little" planes like this, but after working on my big H9 Cessna 182, I needed something simple and quick. Plus, I was going through withdrawl and needed some instant gratification, so I went "Internet" shopping.
I thought, I might try and "scale this up a bit. Either, going to try and "squish" the round wing struts, to get a flatter, more oval shape, or just buy some K&S aerodynamic tubing.
