You can also print on decal paper available from several places such as MicroMark. It needs to be clear coated.

Normally I do what has been suggested already. I put a very light coat of spray glue on the back of the print and then apply it to the film. Use very sharp blades and change them as often as necessary. It is tedious and I can't say I enjoy it, but I've been pleased with the results. I only do this with graphics of reasonable size. I wouldn't want to cut out 1/4" letters this way. Decals rule!
