I'm also looking at the ultimate. I see you like that plane too. Do you have smoke in it?
No, no smoke yet. I want to but just have not done it yet. There is plenty of room though.
I really love my Ultimate It now has a YS110 with an APC 16x6, has Hi-tech 5645's in the wings and on pull-pull rudder and also I installed the elevator servos in the tail. all rods are carbon fiber and the tank is a 16oz on the CG. The plane needed absolutely no weight and only weighs in at 8.5Lbs dry
Takeoffs are at half throttle, hovers at half throttle and pulls out quickly, rolls are very axial, Snaps are a thing of beauty, both inverted and upright flats spins can be leveled out at half throttle and will sit and spin for as long as I want and any increase in throttle and it will start to climb. Inverted flight needs only a touch of elevator. Knide Edge took a little mixing on both pitch and roll but it wasn't too bad.
If you want to fly IMAC it does it very well and is right up there with my 1/4 scale extra.
The only bad thing is the ground handling in a direct crosswind. That big rudder just makes it want to weathervane but in the air it's very solid. I bought the plane used and added the engine and servos. As far as I know it had about 100 flights on it when I bought it and I have done 113 flights on it. The only thing it ever has needed is the landing gear plate popped out on a rather hard bounce whe I screwed up on a harrier landing.
After flying a club members Sundancer, I think it will be just like the Ultimate, only larger
Sorry about the long reply, as you may be able to tell, I really like my Ultimate
