Well you and Grandpa just don't know when to quit do you. You guys are the ones upset not me. So what if you learned with no buddy box and the facts were clearly written out. This is not twenty, thirty or forty years ago. We have technology now that can all but avoid having to go out and do this. If your second tx was computer, would you still use the throttle trim to shut the engine off or an assigned kill switch. Why take the risk , it does not have to happen.

I see this all the time considering the amount of people who fly in my area. One guy showed up early and our local instructor showed up at his due time an hour later. Mr Confident who had had several previous flights with this instructor already, was packing up what was left of his plane. Did not have to happen. Your right, every instructor has is own method. If he was held accountable for every plane he causes to crash, maybe his methods would change.

As I recall you also stated for him to get and instructor and a buddy box? So whats the problem here?

"What kind of name is "Snoop Doggy Bag" for a grown man? Well think about it, I am obviosly not a "c-rap fan."

Yo Dog Boy!

You know every instructor has their own methods of teaching. I was taught to fly without a buddy box. My instructor preferred that method cause he believed most people learning to fly were too confident with the buddy box. It was more of a challenge, but it can be done. You shouldn't get upset at this guy cause his instructor had him fly high and without a buddy box. Get all the facts before you start making assumptions.
