First- I am not the least bit upset
Second- I was self taught because there was no known club in my area when I decided to learn to fly.
Third- I would have gladly learned on a buddy box as I went through several planes while learning to just be adequate. Fortunately I flew in an area where I wouldn't hurt anything but myself.
Fourth- I have both computer and non-computer radios and know how to use both quite well, thank you.
Fifth- At my field, where I am chief instructor, we insist on the buddy box system. By the way this was at my insistence. I also personally went out and bought buddy boxes for all of the major brands so that no matter what brand a student showed up with I would be prepared. I share them with the other instructors if needed.
Sixth- My students know what time I will arrive and that they are not allowed to fly without an instructor, under penalty of dismissal from the club. I have yet to be late for an appointment with a student and am usually early.
Seventh- When an instructor error is responsible for a crash in our club he does assist in repairs to the plane. Such repairs are usually minimal due to our using buddy boxes.
Eighth- Please don't respond. I am through with your uninformed trash talk. As I said before, have a nice day. I have to go meet a student pilot now and quit wasting my time with you.
