Learned on an Avistar, haven`t flown a Superstar but understand they`re a fine trainer. Both are common, well used and, along with the LT-40 and a couple of other trainers, qualify as all time RC " classics" IMHO. The Avistar is indeed more agile than a flat bottomed wing trainer. If you start out with one, I`m sure your instructor will start you out slow and easy, particularly if you have a 46 in it. I still fly my Avistar along with my 4*40 and PT-19.
