Kyosho makes a product under the name Zeal. It is a very squishy, extraordinarily sticky double faced silicone pad about 5mm thick made for mounting receivers to helicopters. Two 5mm wide strips will hold the receiver until you pull it off. If I need to stick it to wood then I paint the mounting area with a little epoxy

It will hold the battery too, but for that I use a full surface piece due to the weight of the battery. There is a thinner pad (about 3mm think) for that application that costs less than the other.

I use it because it is secure, very easy to use, and results in an extremely professional looking mounting.
