Default RE: How are the planes in Reflex XTR?

[8D] Aloha,

I've been flying the EasyFly w/Add-On #2 for over a year ... then my neighbor bought the aeroFly Pro and we loaded it on my PC as his didn't have a serial port to plug it into ...

[8D] EasyFly teaches you the basics of take off, fly around, basic manouvres, getting the plane back and landing.

[8D] aeroFly Pro showed me I was ready for something better (I really didn't know ... I thought it was my poor flying skills why I couldn't hover the Eagle or Cap 232 in EasyFly) ... flying the Giles 202 in AFP showed me how much fun R/C Sim flying can be ... so reading the forums I locked on the Reflex XTR ...

Sadly, it's much harder to fly the Katana in Reflex XTR ... I can get it up 'n flip around 'n bring it back and land ... but it's tons more difficult ...

After I reset my radio controls to down from 150% to 100% and the rudder down to 75% I find flying the Katana still difficult but still a million times easier now ... I'm sure after another 100 hours of practice I might be ready to fly a real R/C Katana ... but I don't plan to waste too much money on a R/C Katana soon until I feel comfortable w/the simulator ...

I've never flown any of the Real Flight sim's but did try RipMax (Rip being the operative part of the name) ... I also flew the Brown sim a little on another friends PC ... it didn't impress me either ... I did like the balloon popping game in RipMax ... I hope more sim's add games ... maybe FunFly's ... with scoring etc ... that'd be nice.

[8D] As for flight dynamics ... I don't know what is real in Reflex XTR ... I do know all sims have some kind of flight dynamics and each interpretation varies with each flyer ... However, for the diffitulty of flying Reflex XTR v. AFP I plan to buy the AFPD too just for the practice ... it's still cheaper than a $500 plane that really breaks when you hit the ground.

CULr, Walt ...

BTW lookit some of my flying videos ... [X(]
