How are the planes in Reflex XTR?

Hey Dave!
Glad to hear you got it working! I am no expert on the freeze frame shots, but a friend gave me a program that does it. I have not loaded it or tried it yet. I think he said it was shareware that he downloaded. It is called FRAPS. Try doing a search for it, you may get lucky and find it on the net. He says you can take pictures of anything on you computer screan, including scene's from your favorite movies. Have fun!

P.S. If you find the download before me, or any information on it, post a link so others will know. If I get a chance, I will look for it and post it.

Well, FRAPS wasn't hard to find. I guess this is an old version that may not work well in some applications. There is a newer, improved version that you have to pay for. Here is the link. The free one is at the bottom of the page: http://www.fraps.com/downloads.htm

HuH, You actually have to use a program to do it huh? Oh well... i think i am going to trying to snap a shot of the screen with my camera and see what it comes out like. Probably will look like s$%, but it's worth a try. Then again when you think about it, you can see how you would need a program, i can see it now.... TR right down on the deck, grabbing the camera, snap! a perfect picture of a balled up wreck every time!!
Then again these planes hover so easy in this sim you probably would have time to snap a shot or two before rolling over!

Dave, I think you are, maybe, better at hovering than you think you are.
If you look at many of the forums about these two sims, the complaints about Reflex are usually that the planes are too hard to hover. I am not good at hovering, but have come a long way with this sim. I guess I thought that if I could hover in Reflex, real life would be even easier.[X(]
I haven't tried to use the FRAPS program yet, since I am trying to get a plane finished for our swap meet, show and auction. I am in charge of the raffle as well
. In addition, a friend made the mistake of buying an e-machine a few months ago, and then wanted to get a simulator for it. Of course, you and I both know that the average e-machine is not going to handle a sim, due to its on board video and shared memory. Anyway, we gutted his machine the other night, and with the help of parts from www.newegg.com, built him a system that would handle it. Now he just has to determine which sim to buy. All in all, it has been busy. Hopefully I can try FRAPS soon.
If you are free, March 6, come on up for our show, auction and swap meet. We have a great time, and the Raffle should be great, with an Optic 6 and a JR 8 channel in it. More details can be seen at www.flyvam.com.
Glad you are getting the chance to enjoy Reflex!
