Sorry to inform you, but car engines don't have many ball bearings. The crankshaft is supported by solid bushing type bearings that do not move one bit. If they did end up moving, you better kiss the engine goodbye, because something is seriously screwed up. About the only things on an engine that have ball bearings, are the water pump, alternator, and power steering pump. The only time you see roller type bearings (ball or needle) inside an engine is on high performance engines, and then they are only on the rocker arms. Yes the rest of the drivetrain is loaded with them, but not the engine.
