Default RE: superstar ep thrust angle question

Hi Ten...
Yes, I made them. Piece of PVC gutter downspout with 1/2 inch pine and laminated with 1/16 ply (I used epoxy to secure to PVC). Heat gun helps form the PVC and I put one screw up front to secure it. Bracket is just flat bar aluminum secured with two bolts through the wood and a hole for axle. Spring is music wire with a loop on the axle screw end tightened with extra nuts to keep the skis at the correct angle. I had every intention of painting them but never got to it! Rather fly! I have probably made 100 landings with them this winter with no problems. Make some. Winter flying is really fun.

I bought a set of Dubro skis for another plane but didn't really care for the spring system. Looks like they have changed from ones I've seen at the field.
