Windows Movie Maker is excellent. However, it will not handle writing to a DVD.

I upgraded to Roxio Media Creator 7, and it handles everything and I mean everything. You might want to take a look at the Roxio site and compare what you have with the new version.

The only thing you can't do is copy a commercial dvd.
