Default RE: Laptop & Simulators

Well I believe G2 would be the only sim that would work on that laptop. Only because of the low memory on the video card though. With an upgraded video card, like 256mb you should be able run any of them. I am running G2 on a 2.53ghz, 256mb RAM and 64mb video card desktop with no probs, but to go to G3 I’ll need at least another 256mb of RAM and a 256mb video card I think.

G2 will let you practice flying helis. I use the Folier Competition 60 with a few mods to the cyclic rates. Seems to be the closest heli on there compared to my Raptor 50 V2 with TT50 engine. The Folier is a bit lower on power than my R50 though, but not bad. G2 is an okay sim, but not great. The flying characteristics are not perfect, but they are good enough to get a great deal of practice and experience. I went from the G2 sim to my R50 and on flight 1 I was doing nose in hover, flight 3 I was doing forward flight and loops and rolls by flight 5. So it will help a lot, besides it let’s you do foolish stuff and get into situations you’d never consider with your real model until you got much more flying time.
