You might want to go a better brand than Tower Hobbies. The transmitters are ok, but I have heard some complaints about the servos that comes with it. The same goes for Hitec. Futaba and Airtronics seem to be the most reliable. I have standard Futaba radios but if I was going for a programmable, I would go for the Airtronics RD6000. It will do everything you want and the info screens make it very easy to use.
