Try the automotive section at Wal Mart or el cheapo auto parts store for "Tire Flys" They are a self contained strobe that come in different colors so you will have to look around to get red, green, and clear, but for about $3.00/pkg of 4 w/spare batteries you can't go wrong. I have them on a Sr. Telemaster and the size is about right. They are vibration activated so whenever the engine is cranked they come on, or you can just tap them to show off under the shed! (Who? Not me!)
