Default Cooked Lipos?? HELP!!!

I have a Worley lipo charger and it is very simple to use and fool proof. I have been using Kokam 11.1v/1500 mah batteries all along. So far I have had one mishap with a battery that was left in a plane for a few days and swelled up.

I have recently purchased 2 Electrifly 11.1v/1200mah lipos. I made a lead for the jst type connector for the charge lead that comes on the pack and charged the first one. It worked fine. The next time I went to charge it it would not take a charge on this lead. The indicator light on the charger would not work.

The second one was flown a few times (2-3) without incident until my friend accidentally charged it through the discharge lead. I noticed this when removing from charger. It actually worked normally, but wouldn't take a charge afterwards. However when plugged into the charger with the discharge lead it looked like it took a charge but did not.

Does anyone know what is causing this or how to correct.
Also am I out $80?, or can these packs be fixed? I opened a pack and was thinking or removing the charge lead and resoldering the regular lead so I can bypass. Is this a good idea. I do not like the idea of two seperate leads coming from the pack. I would hate to think this is a common problem.
Thanks...Joe
