You MUST have the stock- USB adaptor plugged in to make the program work, BUT you can use your other interface in another USB port. That's what I do (the stock cable can be a PITA and not work too well with my JR, but they are re-vamping it to make it work better.
If you think AFPD is too slow (like flying through molasses) you can turn the sim speed up to 120-140% and things become much more challenging!
BigNed- mind sharing your set-up with us? I wouldn't mind getting it to fly more like a real bird!
