No, the Losi doesn't come with a failsafe... not many trucks do. My RC10GT and my MGT didn't... but I added them. The failsafe will kick in if there is radio interference or if there is a drop in voltage.. not a complete loss of power. If my receiver batts get too low, then the failsafe will just make the servo go to where I programmed it to go... which is full brake.

Get a failsafe and run a throttle return spring. I had an incident where the pin came off the servo on my RC10GT, and it took off down the road (i took off the TRS because I thought it allowed the servo to move faster).. luckily i escaped with no damage, but needless to say.. I have the TRS on both cars now.. hehe
