I would recommend the 4" even without retracts. But if you haven't been flying and are proficient.. You might hold off on the Nobler. It is a sensitive bird in roll which will get you into trouble very quickly if you are a little slow to react.

Fly the Nobler only if you have flown planes like the Sig 4 Star .40 first. Jim
