i dont think your plug is the problem.. where is your servo set for the carb ? is it shut or open.. it should be set so that when the throttle servo is at idle position you should see a 1 mm gap in the slide .. thats if you take off the air filter and look inside..

sounds to me its out of adjustment and its either flooded or open..
