I am not sure why this has not been mentioned earlier, if it has I guess I just missed it. You can get a Tower 46 muffler from Tower Hobbies for around $13. It REALLY helps a 46fx spool up a 12.25x3.35. This combo is amazing.

Ask around, I assure you I am not the only one doing this!
