I think the Triton is limited to 2 amps max charge rate? The Astro will do up to 8 amps which is nice for larger packs. Of course 1C is the charge rate limit for any given lipo pack.

45 amps is going to be really close with that motor on 4S. Do you have a whattmeter or can you borrow one? Check it on initial draw then after a couple of minutes of run time. With lipo's the current draw goes up as the pack gets warmer and the voltage gets stronger. Is it a Pheonix 45?

If you can install it behind the motor without adding to much battery side wire to reach your packs that would help if running right at the 45 amp limit. I've got a pheonix 45 in my Sniper - 3S2P 4.2 AH pack with a Hacker 8L. Same class of motor but slightly hotter for good performance on 3S packs. My current draw is right at 45 once the packs warm up and the Pheonix is surviving fine mounted in the airflow behind the motor.
