I have the Creek Staudacher with OS 1.60. It flies really smooth with its long tail moment, especially w/ a higher pitch prop (17x8) for higher airspeed. I mean, it flies like a patter plane, other than the fact it has pitch and roll coupling with rudder input. It does knife edge loop if I correct w/ same direction aileron and up elevator throughout the loop. Looping maneuvers are smooth.
Its 3D, on the other hand, I can't get it to do too well yet. It will probably do 3D well, but requires more skill than Katana would. Its control surface is pretty sport sized, if you know what I mean. With max deflection, I can't get the inverted spins to flat out. I tried "elevator" maneuver, and there's just not enough elevator surface to enter elevator.
I tried the flip w/ full down elevator, and it would just do a small, slow outside loop
Maybe I need more than 45 deg deflection on the elevators that are only a fraction of the stablizer size. Maybe I am just not good enough.

I also have a Creek Katana on order. According to info posted here the plane will require approx. 2.75 lbs (44 oz.) to balance with three servos in the tail. My MVVS 1.60, ignition module, Bisson muffler and an 1100 mAh nicad weigh 43 oz. Add an 18x6 prop for a potent combo..
